As mission statements go, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's, issued after beating a Fulham side showing every sign of seasonal capitulation, could not be more pointed.

Manchester United have beaten Fulham 3-0 in the Premier League this weekend meaning the Red Devils have now entered the top four.

'There is just a positivity about the place, to grind results out when we're not playing well, to play forward, to play with intent and objective - and that's exactly what we're doing.

"We are in a unsafe situation [in the league] and I told my players that it's important to show to our fans we are alive and try to do our best until the end".

However, the upcoming week will be tough for the young team as they would be facing PSG, Chelsea and may also lock horns with Manchester City.

When the former Real Madrid, Chelsea and Inter Milan boss was asked about his objective for the rest of the season, he responded with a simple plan in mind: "Try to win as many points as possible and try nearly the miracle to end in fourth".

While United's supporters revelled in watching the legendary figure in the dugout mastermind another victory, Fulham's fans booed Claudio Ranieri down the tunnel after the final whistle.

The 23-year-old has impressed in fits and starts since moving from Monaco to Old Trafford in 2015, becoming the most expensive teenager in history in the process.

In the 23rd minute, Martial produced a moment of magic in keeping with United's scintillating counter-attacking traditions.

It seems Pogba is pretty unstoppable, as long as you give him 30 minutes to get up to speed.

He created one chance, but it came from a corner kick, not open play, and had one blocked shot from some 25 yards. It's just a little recovery [period] for him.

Ander Herrera stung the palms before Pogba put the game to bed in the 65th minute, scoring from the spot after bumbling Le Marchand was adjudged to have fouled Juan Mata.

"It's not just about putting smiles on faces, but that is a big part of it. Making sure you come into training looking forward to the next day and enjoy what you're doing".
