"I can pull a performance over night and you know that, Ken", Grande wrote.

One South Florida pop singer won't be at the 61st Grammy Awards show Sunday.

It's hard to go anywhere these days without hearing about Ariana Grande.

The insider claims that producers suggested a medley performance instead, which Ariana is reported to have been on board with.

However, following a disagreement with Grammy producers over which songs she would perform, Grande has opted to skip the ceremony altogether.

The same thing happened with Lorde at last years Grammys.

Meanwhile, Taylor, who is also nominated in the Best Pop Vocal Album category, is also thought to be giving the Grammys a miss. I am still grateful for the acknowledgement this year'.

She's also sure to be hoping for success at the music awards - as she's up for five gongs.

Complicating matters, the show had been promoting Grande as a performer on social media.

Moral of the story: let the woman do what she wants.

In the summer of 2018, Grande treated fans to her fourth full-length album, Sweetener, and earned herself her third No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart.

In a new interview with the Associated Press, Grammys producer Ken Ehrlich said that they had "multiple conversations" with Grande about performing but that Grande "felt it was too late for her to pull something together".

Grande concluded her diatribe by sharing her gratitude for the Recording Academy's recognition: She's up for best pop vocal album for her acclaimed LP Sweetener, as well as best pop solo performance for "God Is a Woman".

The hit is her latest release and it broke Spotify's record for the most plays in a 24-hour period.
