  • Steve Kerr on Stephen Curry: He's equally as an impressive as a human being

Riley Morrison wrote a letter to Curry explaining how she is "a big fan" of his and enjoys attending Golden State Warriors games with her dad.

The youngster's letter didn't fall on deaf ears, thankfully, and it probably helps she shares a name with one of Curry's daughters whose nearly as big a phenom as Curry himself.

"We are correcting this now!" the two-time league MVP wrote in a letter back to the Golden State Warriors' fan, who lives in Napa, California. Lastly, we have something special in the works for International Women's Day on March 8, and I want you to celebrate with me!

The point guard is a man of his word, and the Curry 5 is now listed under the "Girls Basketball Athletic Shoes" category on Under Armour's website.

Much to her surprise, she received a response from Curry a few days later.

From ages 11 to 14, Stephen Curry would take the floor at what was once known as the Air Canada Centre to hone his game while his father Dell was a member of the Toronto Raptors.

With that, fans also want to emulate their hero by copying his apparel by donning his latest footwear - the Curry 5's.

A letter to Curry by a young girl named Riley from Napa in California pointed out that the National Basketball Association star's signature shoe - Curry 5 - was not available under the "girls" section on the Under Armour website.

She talked to Teen Vogue about why she wrote the letter, and said that it wasn't just about her getting to wear the sneakers - she wanted all girls to have the same chance that boys do. He told Riley to plan on being in Oakland that night.

Steph Curry returns to action after sitting out for nearly a month.

He and his wife, Ayesha, have two young daughters, and in August he wrote an essay for the Players' Tribune about how personal the issue of women's equality has become for him.

She concluded with a plea for Curry to address the oversight.
