  • Khashoggi's body parts transported in suitcases Report

Workers attempted to tear out a security camera inside the building on October 2, the day the writer walked in and was killed, according to reports in Turkey.

The official said Turkey believes that two members of the team "came to Turkey for the sole goal of covering up evidence" - a task they completed before police were allowed to search the Saudi consulate where Mr Khashoggi was killed on 2 October.

Beginning October 12, the two men visited the consulate regularly for a week, the paper reported.

The source said the chemist and toxicologist were tasked with getting rid of evidence before Turkish investigators were given access to the Saudi consulate and consul's residence.

"All what we want right now is to bury him in Al-Baqi [cemetery] in Medina with the rest of his family", Salah told CNN.

However, as diplomatic pressure grew tremendously on Riyadh to give an account on the mysterious fate of its national, in an unexpected statement last month, Saudi Attorney General Sheikh Saud al-Mojeb admitted that Khashoggi had been killed in a "premeditated" attack in the consulate.

Turkish President, Tayyip Erdogan, had repeatedly demanded for more information from Saudi Arabia.

Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi was allegedly killed and dismembered inside the Saudi consulate in Istanbul, Turkey.

Saudi Arabia should publicly release the findings of the murder investigation which would surely exonerate Saudi Arabia's leader, Prince Alwaleed said on Fox News Channel's "Sunday Morning Futures". "This will happen. Otherwise Saudi wouldn't have started an internal investigation", Salah said.

"Of course, the death of Jamal Khashoggi is beyond disturbing because the freedom and safety of the press is something that is incredibly important to me", he said.

Thousands of Twitter users in Saudi Arabia have pushed for the boycott of Amazon.com and its regional subsidiary to slam the Washington Post for covering the assassination of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi; the Washington Post is owned by Amazon chief executive Jeff Bezos.

Saudi Arabia first denied any knowledge of Khashoggi's whereabouts, eventually acknowledging his death 17 days after he went missing.

However, when grilled on our nation's involvement, Trump declined to say if the deaths would make him rethink the arms deal with Saudi Arabia, although he made it clear that using US provided bombs to kill civilians bothered him.

"A thorough, conclusive and transparent investigation carried out in accordance with due process with results made public is essential", he insisted.

Saudi Arabia says 18 people have been detained over Khashoggi's killing and the head of its human rights commission told a meeting in Geneva on Monday Riyadh was investigating the case with a view to prosecuting the perpetrators.
