Democrats say they want to move past the time in Georgia that they remember for segregation, voter suppression and racial oppression. It also asks that the Secretary of State's Office remove from its website any reference to allegations against Georgia's Democratic Party.

Kemp, who is locked in a neck-and-neck race with Democrat Stacey Abrams, did not provide evidence to back up the allegation.

Over 53,000 voter registrations are still pending because, according to Kemp's office, the applications do not match other government records. "It's a way to say that 'If I win, I've overcome all these obstacles, ' and 'If I lose, they stole it from me'". Thanks to the systems and protocols established by Secretary of State Brian Kemp, no personal information was breached.

After election officials received a report Saturday that the state's voter registration website was vulnerable, they blamed the Democrats instead of correcting the issue, said Democratic Party of Georgia Executive Director Rebecca DeHart.

All the while, Brian Kemp, now at 48.5 (within a 3 percent margin of Abrams), tries to keep ahead with a campaign revolving around, amongst other things, eliminating state income taxes on retirement pay for military veterans and giving teachers in Georgia a $5000 pay raise, a move that is estimated to cost $800 Million, including additional expenditures like pension payment, etc. But political experts tend to believe that Georgia is likely to become more Democratic due to changing demographics, particularly in the Atlanta area. "This is another failure of his leadership, and he recognizes that if he got caught two days before the election having exposed so many Georgians, he would lose, so he did what he always does, blame someone else for his mistakes". "Kemp told reporters at a pre-election rally that "[he] is not anxious about how it looks, [he] is doing [his] job". "You need to vote for us because we're better", she told a crowd in Savannah Monday. A representative for the Department of Homeland Security confirmed the agency had been notified, but it deferred to Georgia officials for details.

She has promised to work with any president to advance the state, but her candidacy hinges on young voters, African-American voters, women and new immigrants - basically every group that Trump has attacked and demonized throughout his presidency. "It's another failure of Kemp's office to actually have a secure election system in the state".

President Donald Trump has rallied in the state on behalf of Kemp, while former President Barack Obama and Oprah Winfrey have made appearances on behalf of Abrams.

According to AP interviews and records released by the Georgia Democratic Party, the lawyer for the election-security advocates, David Cross, notified both the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Kemp's counsel Saturday morning that a citizen had alerted him to the flaw. He has also faced multiple claims of voter suppression that disproportionately affects immigrants, black voters, and people filing absentee ballots.
