When Neymar made the switch from Catalonian club Barcelona to Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain in the last summer transfer window for a world record transfer fee of £198 million, it stunned their entire footballing world.

But Spanish sources, reported in Mundo, say the 26-year-old is said to have an agreement with PSG owner Nasser Al-Khelaifi that he can leave the club at end of this season - for the same price he joined.

However, Barca vice president Jordi Cardoner said it is not an issue which has been broached by the club's hierarchy.

Neymar has been overshadowed somewhat this season by Griezmann's France team-mate, 19-year-old Kylian Mbappe, who has been attracting attention at domestic and global level.

His decision to leave Barcelona for PSG would suggest the latter, but the Brazilian is now regretting his decision, according to reports.

A number of different stories have emerged over the past few days that Neymar is "sorry" to have left Barça and feels the competition in Paris is not getting the most out of him as a player.

"No one on the current Barca board has talked about a return for Neymar, so it's really a hypothetical question as it's not being looked at".

"It's speculation, we're not in the market at the moment or looking short term, but anything can happen in football".

"Any time is good to speculate, but Neymar plays for another team now".

Yet Neymar has been upstaged so far this season by France's World Cup star, Kylian Mbappe, who has ten goals in seven appearances for PSG.
