  • Razer Phone 2 looks like it will come out to play on October 10

A follow-up device sure seems like a sensible enough idea, and earlier this month we received confirmation that Razer was planning just such a smartphone.

Razer was the first to announce a smartphone for gamers past year, and after that, we saw a lot of companies like Xiaomi, Nubia, Asus, etc. launching gaming smartphones.

Try to find the difference in the appearance of the Razer Phone the first and second generations. The design largely mirrored that of the first-gen Razer Phone.

Previous year we heard rumors that they're working on a gaming smartphone which came out to be true when they launched the first generation of Razor phone in late 2017.

Razer Phone 2 looks like it will come out to play on October 10

Razer today sent out Save the Dates for a "FLAGSHIP // GAMING" event on October 10.

The event is set for October 10. On the software side, the smartphone will run Android 8.1 Oreo, and it might have customised nova launcher user interface on top, similar to its predecessor.

Considering the Geekbench benchmark results, the Razer Phone 2 will employ the Snapdragon 835 follower, the Snapdragon 845 underneath. It will be backed by the Adreno 630 graphics engine 8GB RAM, 256GB / 512GB storage, Android Pie OS and cooling technology to dissipate the excess heat generated while playing graphics-intense games on the phone.

Razer Phone 2 could bring a lot of improvements and tweaks in terms of its display, resolution, and more. We've been hearing that Razer might try and integrate their LED lighting into the device, which I think would be pretty cool, but for the most part we're in the dark until Razer sheds some light on their next smartphone.
