Kardashian also said she's in regular contact with President Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, who counts prison reform as one of his tasks as a senior adviser at the White House.

"Today at the White House, members of the Administration are hosting a listening session about the clemency process", Deputy Press Secretary Hogan Gidley said.

Speaking on a USA podcast, she told listeners she "talks to the White House often" about prison reform.

"The discussion is mainly focused on ways to improve that process to ensure deserving cases receive a fair review".

In June, Kardashian met with Donald Trump and convinced him to grant Alice Marie Johnson clemency. Young, who is now 30, has already served just under 10 years. Kardashian West had learned of Johnson's case from a Mic interview.

She said: "All of my attorneys at home always joke, like, 'You've gotta just come be in the office.' If I didn't have to go for so much school, I would truly love to be an attorney [and] practice all the time".
