In the occupied West Bank, another territory where Palestinians want independence, a teenaged Palestinian knifed a Jewish settler to death and wounded two others on Thursday before being shot and killed.
The Israeli Shin Bet, Israel's General Security Services, said that the Palestinian was a close friend of another attack suspect identified as Omar al-Abed, who carried out an attack a year ago in the illegal Israeli settlement of Halamish north of Ramallah district. The attack came after a period of relative calm in the West Bank.
