Chance of strong to severe storms late this afternoon into tonight

  • Severe Weather Expected Tonight

Over the last few days, we had a west to WSW wind through the atmosphere.

Mostly cloudy and humid with showers and a thunderstorm; watch for flooding.

Rain will likely stick around, along with the humidity, for our Thursday.

Tuesday will be almost identical to Monday with scattered to widespread afternoon rain, with a slightly smaller rain chance by Wednesday. A few heavy rains could produce isolated flooding along the I-25 corridor, but the best flooding concerns remain in the mountains and on the burn scars. Storms should clear El Paso, Pueblo and western Las Animas counties generally after 5pm and move east and southeast to the Kansas border. Lows fall back to the upper 60s to low 70s. These storms will bring damaging winds and large hail with them, and an isolated tornado can not be ruled out. This is allowing for a Low pressure system that is now at the North Carolina/ Virginia border to bring humid, tropical like air to the region on Sunday.

Showers are likely to be scattered Saturday before noon, with a high near 82.

TRI-LAKES: High - 80s; Low - 50s.

Friday NightA 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Wednesday, our next more significant weather-maker will be on the way.

As a low pressure system remains nearby, more scattered showers and storms will pop up on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday with highs in the mid/upper 80s, lows near 70º.

Heading toward the weekend, the forecast appears to be South Florida's normal summer pattern with a good chance of rain during a least portions of the day. Please be as descriptive as possible and also include the location (town/city) where the photo or video was taken.
