  • Michael Cohen Requests Court Order Forcing Stormy Daniels' Attorney to Shut Up

President Trump's attorney Michael Cohen's seen about 120 too many TV appearances by Stormy Daniels' lawyer, Michael Avenatti.so he's begging a judge to make him stop talking.

The feds have reconstructed the contents of one of Michael Cohen's shredders - 16 pages' worth - and extracted 731 pages of encrypted messages from his phones in their probe of the former President Trump lawyer, it was revealed Friday.

In Friday's court filing, prosecutors in the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Southern District of NY said that one of the devices contained approximately 315 megabytes of data.

Prosecutors said they still had not given Cohen's team the contents of one Blackberry seized in the raids, which they had not been able to unlock.

They say the haul of records included more than a dozen pages of shredded documents that have now been reconstructed and hundreds of pages of encrypted messages.

Prosecutors agreed to extend that deadline by 10 days, if the judge approves.

Cohen's associates say that in recent days he has become increasingly irritated by statements made in the media by the president's lawyer in the Russian Federation investigation, Rudy Giuliani.

Cohen bolstered his claim by citing U.S. District Judge Kimba Wood in NY, who is presiding over Cohen's request for a review of materials seized in the Federal Bureau of Investigation raid.

Cohen has not been charged with any crime, but he is under investigation for potential criminal violations surrounding his personal business dealings and his $130,000 payment to adult-film star Stormy Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford. The President has denied an affair took place.

Then, after the restraining order application was filed, Avenatti tweeted out this: "The motion for a gag order is a complete joke and baseless". He gave Avenatti until June 25 to formally respond to Cohen, who can reply by July 2.

Otero declined to grant Cohen emergency relief, setting a briefing schedule Friday that begins in late June.

Clearly Avenatti is getting under Michael Cohen's skin.

The cases is Clifford v. Trump, 18-cv-2217, U.S. District Court, Central District of California (Los Angeles).
