Game 4 between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Toronto Raptors will go down as a DNP-CD for Rodney Hood, but it appears to have been anything but a coach's decision.

"This is not him as a person at all, he's a team player and wants what's best for the team", said a source, familiar with the discussion.

Hood has been struggling as of late and recently lost his starting spot in the lineup. However, the fourth-year player refused to enter the game, angering his teammates.

The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Toronto Raptors 128-93 in Game 4 on Monday to hand Toronto a sweep.

Some of his teammates may have thought that Rodney Hood is only thinking about himself and not what is good for the team.

The veteran swingman saw his minutes decrease in Round Two after averaging 6.3 points in 18.9 minutes per game in the first round against the Indiana Pacers.

Per Jason Lloyd of The Athletic, Hood caused a fuss on the Cavs' bench when Lue attempted to insert him for LeBron James with 7:38 to play.

Since then, Hood has reportedly apologized to general manager Koby Altman for his refusal and plans on apologizing to the rest of the team once they're reunited.

Hood is averaging a putrid 4.6 points per game and has shot less than 40 percent since the start of the postseason.

No explanation was offered following the game, but a report from The Athletic indicated the team was weighing a possible suspension during the Eastern Conference Finals.

The biggest reason for Hood's frustration is that he's set to become a restricted free agent this summer, and his short time in Cleveland has already likely tanked much of his potential value on the market. But with an attitude unbecoming of a player that's part of a championship contender aside from his poor play, Hood's chances of a lucrative deal may have vanished into thin air.
