Winnipeg saw Mark Scheifele score on a first period power play and in he third with 65 seconds remaining to send the game to overtime.

It was a truly inspiring night for the Jets. In the first two games, the Jets played like the much more comfortable team. It didn't look much better in Game 2 than in Game 1, but it sure didn't stop these teams from making some pretty plays at high speed.

After dropping Game 1 of the best-of-seven matchup with the Winnipeg Jets, the top-seeded Predators managed to even the series with a double-overtime victory in Game 2. Game 4 is Thursday night in Winnipeg.

The Predators silenced Winnipeg's fans just 4:53 in Tuesday when Fisher poked a loose puck over the goal line for his first of the playoffs after Hellebuyck couldn't squeeze Ryan Hartman's tip of Ekholm's shot from the sideboards.

But there was no quit in these Jets.

"The goals now will draw the camera to him".

Incredibly, it got worse.

The Jets appeared to take a 3-2 late in the second period when Andrew Copp put the puck in the net on a rebound.

A trio of Jets nursing injuries participated in an optional morning skate Monday morning at Bell MTS Place.

If the Jets are able to get the matchups they want on home ice and turn the table in scoring chances, Rinne is going to need to be a lot better to keep the Predators in this series.

The Nashville Predators are tied in a series with a team that many think is second-best in the National Hockey League. Since Blake Wheeler scored two goals, he might not have nightmares about the wide open net he missed in the second period.

It was an incredible comeback. What makes this even more impressive is that they are doing this without their leading scorer, Patrik Laine, who has not scored yet in this series.

After being outshot 12-10 in the first period, the Jets outshot Nashville 16-6 in the second and that number actually flattered the Predators. Winnipeg completely owned the period and heading into the third, the white-clad crazies were euphoric. A minute and a half in and Nick Bonino and Jacob Trouba slashed each other a few times, cross-checked each other a couple more and then dropped the gloves. Charron and Watson had lost control of the proceedings and it was starting to show. Nashville scored three times to start it, then Winnipeg scored four to go ahead. The goal seemed inevitable, although the penalty to Jack Roslovic was as phony as a politician's promise. You then were watching to see how Nashville would react... what would be their response?

The play of the top two lines were the key to last night's win.

Filip Forsberg and Viktor Arvidsson will both look to continue their strong seasons for the visiting Predators. But the youngster was a team-worst minus-three in Game 2.

Winnipeg got its third man advantage of the third with 5:59 remaining when Subban went off for high sticking after failing to clear the puck twice late in a previous Jets power play before Wheeler scored the victor.

Expect another fast-paced, back and forth game from the Jets and the Preds. It was the second game in a row Subban scored against the Jets on a powerplay.

The Jets took four offensive zone penalties - two by Hendricks and one each by Blake Wheeler and Bryan Little - costing them a goal against and a goal for.

Mark Scheifele scored two goals and had an assist.

Scheifele had two assists and Trouba had a goal and an assist. "We're going to learn from our mistakes, break down some video, see what we can do better and come back with a better effort". It was the third goal scored against Hellebuyck on only eight shots. The downtown party starts at 6:30.
