Dana White Says Conor McGregor 'Not Apologetic' For UFC 223 Bus Attack

  • Conor Mc Gregor has reportedly turned himself into police after crashing the UFC media today on Thursday in New York. More

McGregor was arraigned Friday on charges of felony criminal mischief charges and misdemeanor assault, menacing and reckless endangerment charges following a backstage melee he sparked at a UFC event in New York City. It was not immediately known if McGregor has an attorney who could comment on his behalf.

"It was probably the worst conversation we ever had", White told FS1's "First Things First" on Friday morning.

"I think Khabib, one of the fighters, disrespected one of his friends. He justified it. It was justified to him". When asked on ESPN's Get Up whether he would try to help McGregor, White said he was on his own.

McGregor spent Thursday night in a Brooklyn police station, after surrendering, and was escorted to a criminal court in handcuffs.

Straight after the bus incident, Nurmagomedov called out McGregor and seemed to challenge him to an unregulated fight.

McGregor is accused of striking the bus with a hand dolly, shattering glass and causing lacerations to lightweight fighter Michael Chiesa.

The incident occurred after a media event ahead of UFC 223.

The UFC said in a statement that the incident was "completely unacceptable" and the organisation is working to determine consequences for those involved.

McGregor and co-defendant Cian Cowley are due back in court June 14.

"We talked yesterday", White said at the post-fight press conference. "It's good".

McGregor profanely responded on Twitter and wrote, "You'll strip me of nothing". "Everything happened so fast, it was just like we got jumped".

He previously told Reuters he made an eye-watering $US140 million ($A196 million) from last August's boxing match with Floyd Mayweather.

MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani reported on Thursday that the Russian MMA fighter Khabib Nurmagomedov, who is scheduled to fight this weekend, confronted Artem Lobov, a teammate of McGregor's who was also scheduled for a bout this weekend, earlier this week at a hotel. The fight between Max Holloway and Nurmagomedov was canceled Friday when Holloway didn't make weight for the main event, the lightweight championship left vacant by McGregor.

Lobov was yanked from the card and banned from the building. That's all I have to say for now.

Conor reportedly turned himself into police in NY, after Conor went on his angry rampage at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, smashing the window of a bus his UFC rival was in with a trolley and allegedly trying to launch a metal barrier at it, according to the Sun.

McGregor's future is also a complete mystery.
